                    Situation Report:

GUVI entered into a partnership with Galgotia University to provide technical courses in native languages under a formal MoU. As part of this collaboration:

                    • Students would receive GUVI accounts with access to selected courses.
                      • Additional features include live/recorded webinars, doubt-clearing sessions, and placement preparation programs.
                        • A B2B admin product was also under development for university personnel to monitor student progress and departmental performance.

                          Complication:

The initial product delivered by the development team fell short of expectations.

                          • University’s Expectations: A sophisticated, data-driven dashboard.
                            • Delivered: A basic model with minimal functionality, displaying only basic information in simple boxes.

This misalignment caused significant tension, putting the MoU at risk of termination—a mission-critical situation for GUVI.

                              Directive:

At this juncture, the task was handed over to us. The objective:

                              • Revamp and complete the module within one month to meet the university’s expectations and salvage the partnership.

The clock is ticking. Failure is not an option.

                                Case File Update: Task Objective

                                The mission was twofold:

                                1. University Dashboard Design: Develop a comprehensive dashboard enabling university personnel to monitor student performance across all departments effectively.
                                  1. Student Interface Redesign: Create a more accessible and user-friendly interface for students to boost engagement and interaction with the platform.

The focus was on delivering functionality and usability to satisfy both stakeholders and preserve the critical partnership.

Case File Update: Execution and Delivery

                                    Phase 1: Requirement Gathering

                                    • Conducted a thorough review of stakeholder needs to list key requirements.
                                      • Due to time constraints and the mission-critical nature of the task, user research and interviews were skipped.
                                        • Instead, gathered insights from stakeholders with direct access to end-users to form a general understanding of user needs and workflows.

Phase 2: Planning and Design Process

                                          User Personas and Flows:

                                          • Created pseudo/proto personas based on collected insights.
                                            • Mapped user flows to outline the product's functionality and navigation.

                                              Information Architecture:

                                              • Identified critical data for the dashboard, separating essential metrics from supplementary data.
                                                • Designed the information structure to prioritize actionable insights.

                                                  Sketching and Wireframing:

                                                  • Developed interface sketches and selected the optimal design for conversion into wireframes.
                                                    • Shared wireframes with stakeholders and refined them through iterative feedback loops.

                                                      Phase 3: UI Design

                                                      • Started with color palette selection and finalized the theme to maintain consistency and usability.

Phase 4: Development Handoff and Launch

                                                            • Delivered finalized designs to the Development Team within the stipulated timeframe.
                                                              • Conducted user testing and UI/UX audits post-development to identify bugs and usability issues.
